FINE JEWELLERY
Thank you for purchasing a unique piece of jewellery from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Our fine jewellery is for life, passed down from generation to generation. We hope you will make an extra effort to take good care of it, as proper care can help maintain the original luster, elegance and charm of your precious jewellery, and save you repair and restoration.
We recommend that you use special jewellery cleaners and clean your jewellery often, in a manner that will not cause damage to the jewellery. Do not wear the jewellery while doing housework, gardening, sports, or similar activities. Do not expose your jewellery to shock. Coloured stones are fragile, they are not like diamonds.
It is advised not to wear your jewellery whilst sleeping. Store delicate jewellery in a place where there are no heavy items on top of it, not in against hard metals or surfaces which will scratch it. Do not forget to remove and store your jewellery whilst taking a bath or swimming. Pearls and stones may lose their sheen and brilliance when exposed to body oils, creams, perfumes or the like.
All diamonds in Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen jewellery are TW/VS quality, and the cut is graded ‘VERY GOOD’. We guarantee that our diamonds are conflict free and are purchased from legitimate sources in accordance with United Nations Resolutions. Our jewellery is primarily in 18 kt gold. Please contact your authorized Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen dealer (see dealer stamp) for inquiries about your purchase.
Jewellery clasps are correctly secured when the locking system ‘clicks’ firmly into place. On some clasps and jewellery there is a safety lock, and this also needs to ‘click’ in order for it to be fastened. If the clasp is not closed with an audible “click”, it must be delivered to an authorized Ole Lynggaard dealer, who will send the clasp to our workshop for repair.
Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen gold jewellery is 100% nickel free. This alloy is not perfectly white, and therefore the white gold is rhodinated. Rhodination is a finishing treatment, which will eventually patinate. This applies especially to rings, bracelets and other exposed jewellery. If you wish to maintain the whiteness of the gold, it should be treated with rhodium when needed by your authorized Ole Lynggaard dealer.
