MIDNIGHT TIARA
The beautiful “Midnight tiara" designed by Charlotte Lynggaard is a unique piece of Danish design. It was made for the tiara exhibition at the Amalienborg Royal Palace Museum in 2009, showing historical tiaras belonging to the Royal Family, together with tiaras of more recent designs.
Charlotte Lynggaard spent more than 300 hours together with the team of
highly skilled goldsmiths in the company´s studio, north of Copenhagen, to finalize this one of its kind handicraft.
The delicate hand graved leaves and thin branches are made of 18kt rose and white gold, as well as black oxidised silver.
In 2009, the Danish Crown Princess Mary wore the midnight tiara at Prince Henrik´s 75th birthday.
The 31 beautifully shaped flower buds are set with over 1.300 sparkling diamonds together with specially cut moonstones in different sizes, creating lustres of lights and shades, like a starry, moonlit sky at midnight.
