Claims

As a consumer, when purchasing from OLE LYNGGAARD COPENHAGEN, you have a two-year statutory right to make a claim under the Danish Sale of Goods Act. This right covers defects and faults that were present at the time of delivery, or where the cause of the defect was present at the time of delivery.

If your product has a defect or fault, you must contact us within seven days after discovering the issue.

As a general rule, the statutory right to make a claim does not cover issues resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear resulting from ordinary use
  • Accidental damage caused by dropping, impact, pressure or other external forces
  • Improper use or use that is inconsistent with the intended purpose of the product
  • Inadequate care or maintenance
  • Alterations, adjustments or repairs carried out by an unauthorised party
  • Damage occurring after delivery, unless the cause can be attributed to an original defect or fault

For purchases made through our online shop or at one of our flagship stores, you can make a claim in either of the following ways:

  • Contact our Customer Service team regarding your claim. Please provide your name and order number or receipt number, and describe the issue. You can find our contact details and contact form here.
  • You are also welcome to visit one of our flagship stores, where we can register your claim. Please remember to bring your receipt as proof of purchase.

Each claim is assessed in accordance with applicable legislation. If the issue is covered by the statutory right to make a claim, it will be handled at no cost to you. Depending on the circumstances of the individual case, the available remedies may include a repair, replacement, a proportionate reduction in the purchase price, or cancellation of the purchase. This does not affect your statutory rights. If the issue is not covered by your statutory right to make a claim, we may offer a service or repair following an individual assessment.

For purchases made through an authorised retailer, please contact the retailer from whom you purchased the product. Your statutory rights apply to the seller.
